RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH QUANTIPHI, INC. AND CARAHSOFT
WHEREAS, Sullivan County entered into an agreement with Carahsoft and Quantiphi, Inc. in 2023 to develop and initiate an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot to answer questions on the County’s website; and
WHEREAS, the Quantiphi portion of that agreement has now expired, since Quantiphi’s development of the chatbot is complete; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to improve upon and better understand the chatbot’s operations; and
WHEREAS, Quantiphi has offered twelve (12) weeks of technical support and training to that end, at no charge to the County.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Sullivan County Legislature authorizes the County Manager to enter into a no-cost, three-month contract with Quantiphi and Carahsoft, subject to approval of the contract by the County Attorney’s Office.
