RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH BROWN AND BROWN FOR HEALTH INSURANCE CONSULTING AND BROKER SERVICES
WHEREAS, Sullivan County currently has multiple healthcare insurance plans among its full time employees; and
WHERAS, one of these health insurance plans is phasing out and a portion of the employees will need new health insurance coverage; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for an outside firm to analyze, review and make recommendations for options on health insurance coverage; and
WHEREAS, a Request for Proposal (R-24-11) for Health Insurance Consulting and Broker Services was issued and a response was received from Brown and Brown; and
WHEREAS, Brown and Brown demonstrates expertise and proficiency in health insurance consulting and broker services; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature does hereby authorize the County Manager to execute a contract with Brown and Brown ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said contract shall not exceed $15,000 for 2024 and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said contract shall be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that if the County of Sullivan proceeds with an alternative health insurance, the annual broker fee will be $93,000.
