RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WITH FIRE FACILITIES, INC.
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Fire Training Tower located at the Sullivan County Emergency Services Training Center, 615 Old White Lake Turnpike Swan Lake, NY 12783 was inspected in December of 2023 and was determined to need various repairs; and
WHEREAS, Fire Facilities, Inc. located at 314 Wilburn Rd. Sun Prairie, WI 53590 is the manufacturer / erector of the structure and has provided a proposal for the necessary repairs, including materials and labor which includes NYS prevailing wage rates for Sullivan County; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Fire Facilities, Inc. would be responsible for the maintenance and necessary repair work to the Training Tower, due to the proprietary nature of the structure; and
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Office of Emergency Management has been awarded grant funding for the purpose of completion of the necessary repairs under DASNY SAM Award #24074, and the full amount will be reimbursed; and
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Office of Emergency Management recommends that an agreement with Fire Facilities, Inc. be executed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Fire Facilities, Inc., for various repairs to the Sullivan County Fire Training Tower in an amount not to exceed $98,554.48.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, this contract in such a form shall be approved by the Sullivan County Attorney’s Office.
