RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE CREATTION OF A FULL TIME BUS DRIVER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation, “the Department” provides services to the Veterans Services Department and the Office for the Aging, “OFA”, for medical appointments and the senior meal program, and
WHEREAS, there has been a significant increase in medical appointments and OFA plans to fully reopen all the congregate meal sites that were closed due to the pandemic, and
WHEREAS, the Department will need one additional driver to be able to fulfill the increased transportation needs of both departments, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation wishes to create a full time Bus Driver positions to provide the needed support.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the creation of a full time Bus Driver position in the Department of Transportation. The County Legislature further authorizes this position be filled upon approval.
