RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH MATERIAL HANDLING PRODUCTS CORP. TO SUPPLY AND INSTALL OVERHEAD DOORS AT VARIOUS COUNTY FACILITIES AND AN AGREEMENT WITH DUTCHESS OVERHEAD DOORS, INC. FOR REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR EXISTING OVERHEAD DOORS AT VARIOUS COUNTY FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the County of Sullivan owns and operates more than 100 overhead doors, of a variety of makes, models, and sizes at various County facilities, with several in need of replacement and all in need of routine service and maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Public Works and the Purchasing Department issued a bid (B-24-03) seeking Part A: Supply and installation of new overhead doors, and Part B: Repairs and maintenance services of existing overhead doors, at various County facilities; and
WHEREAS, the County of Sullivan Division of Public Works received and reviewed two (2) qualified bids; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Public Works therefore recommends award of a one-time contract for Part A: Supply and Installation of New Overhead Doors with Material Handling Products Corporation, 496 Duanesburg Rd., Schenectady, NY 12306; and
