RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO CREATE THE POSITION OF SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER IN THE ITS OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) has reviewed its staffing needs and is requesting the creation of a Senior Network Engineer in the ITS Office, and
WHEREAS, to fund this request, the currently vacant positions of Client Support Technician Assistant I (#3021) and Client Support Technician I (#2275) will be abolished and the position of Senior Network Engineer will be created in the ITS Office resulting in an overall cost savings of approximately $50,000.00, and
WHEREAS, the annual salary for this position will be based upon the current Teamsters Main County Unit’s collecting bargaining agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby abolishes the position of a Client Support Technician Assistant I and a Client Support Technician I and creates the position of a Senior Network Engineer in the Division of Information Technology Services, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Division of Technology Services is authorized to fill this new position effective immediately.
