RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN MARIST COLLEGE, OFFICE OF GRADUATE ADMISSIONS AND THE COUNTY OF SULLIVAN
WHEREAS, Marist College, Office of Graduate Admissions is interested in partnering with the County of Sullivan and their employees by promoting the mission and vision of both organizations; and
WHEREAS, Marist College will provide employees with opportunities to engage in active learning through meaningful achievement in academic pursuits and purposeful preparation to help employees grow, both personally and professionally; and
WHEREAS, this partnership will allow employees of Sullivan County to have an opportunity to enroll in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree program at 50% off the cost of tuition, and also offer employees, as well as their immediate adult family members a twenty-five percent (25%) discount on all other non-discounted full-time or part-time graduate and adult undergraduate programs online or on campus (some exclusions apply).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the County Manager to execute a Partnership Agreement for employees of Sullivan County with Marist College, Office of Graduate Admissions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said agreement shall be in a form approved by the County Attorney’s Office.
