Specify Compliance with Procurement Procedures: enRESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A PRE-GRANT APPLICATION FOR ACQUIRING STANDALONE INPUT-BASED AQUEOUS FILM FORMING FOAM (AFFF) TESTING EQUIPMENT AND ACCEPT SUCH AWARD IF OFFERED.
WHEREAS, Law S. 3662, the Preventing PFAS Runoff at Airports Act modifies 49 U.S.C. ? 47109 to temporarily increase the Federal share of acquiring standalone input-based aqueous film forming foam testing equipment to 100%; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to apply for a grant for Federal funding in the amount of approximately $23,700; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of standalone input-based aqueous film forming foam testing equipment would ensure the Sullivan County International Airport complies with Federal Aviation Administration regulation CFR Part 139.317 (a) while maintaining compliance with NYSDEC environmental regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the County Manager, Chairman of the County Legislature, and / or their authorized representative (as required by the funding source) to execute any and all necessary documents to submit the pre-grant application for funding; and
