Specify Compliance with Procurement Procedures: endRESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE AWARD & EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH TAM ENTERPRISES, INC. FOR A LEACHATE LINE REPAIR TO A TWO (2) INCH FORCE MAIN AT THE SULLIVAN COUNTY SANTARY LANDFILL

 

WHEREAS, Sullivan County is required by the Part 360 operating permit issued by the NYSDEC to clean and maintain the leachate lines at the Sullivan County Sanitary Landfill (SCSL) property one time per year; and

 

WHEREAS, during the 2022 cleaning it was determined that a 2-inch forced main located just past the entrance gate of the Sullivan County Landfill was crushed and not able to be cleaned properly; and

 

WHEREAS, the County’s Purchasing Department put the repair out to bid (B-22-64) and received a bid from a responsible bidder namely TAM Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of $30,000 and that TAM Enterprises was the only bidder that responded to do the repair on behalf of the County; and

 

WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Division of Public Works has approved said bid and recommends that an agreement be executed in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute an agreement with TAM Enterprises, Inc., as per Bid No. B-22-64 (so that the repair can be made in the calendar year of 2023).
