RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO ABOLISH ONE (1) CORPORAL POSITION AND CREATE ONE (1) SERGEANT POSITION IN THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Sheriff has reviewed the current and future staffing needs of the Patrol Division, and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff requests the creation of one (1) Sergeant full-time position, and
WHEREAS, upon the successful promotion of a current Corporal to the newly created Sergeant position, the Corporal position will be abolished.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby creates the position of Sergeant in the Sheriff’s Patrol Division and abolishes a Corporal position, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Sheriff has the authority to fill the this Sergeant position effective immediately.
