Narrative of Resolution:
There is a desire to increase the salary of the Park Manager position to recruit an individual that is certified in lifeguard certifications and basic swim instruction. This would assist the department with their annual struggle to fill lifeguard positions and increase offerings at Lake Superior.

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 8-23, adopted by the Sullivan County Legislature on January 19, 2023 set the salaries of the Parks and Recreation Department Part-time and Seasonal employees; and
WHEREAS, there is an opportunity to have additional offerings for Lake Superior through the Park Manager position, such as lifeguard certifications, and swimming classes; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Director and the County Manager to amend the salary of the Park Manager position to be set at $25.00
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby amends Resolution No. 8-23 to increase the salary of the Park Manager position to $25.00.
