RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY GEORGE E. CONKLIN, III CHAIRMAN OF THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY OF SULLIVAN TO PURSUE LEAD AGENCY STATUS FOR THE SEQRA PROCESS FOR THE PROPOSED TERMINAL BUILDING REVITALIZATION AT SULLIVAN COUNTY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County has received funding through the New York State Upstate Airport Economic Development and Revitalization program; and
WHEREAS, this funding is being utilized to abate and demolish the existing terminal building and design and construct a new energy efficient and accessible terminal building; and
WHEREAS, this project is subject to the requirements of the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) as defined in Title 5 NYCRR Section 617; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the SEQRA requirements s the County of Sullivan is eligible to act as Lead Agency for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature does hereby authorize the County of Sullivan to pursue designation of and act as Lead Agency for the SEQRA process for this project.
