RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE COUNTY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH REBECCA SKODA, MSW, LCSW FOR BEHAVIOR HEALTH CONSULTANT SERVICES

WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Department of Social Services has the availability of federal Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) and Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of 2016 (CARA) funds, and must use them to hire or contract behavioral health consultant and a peer recovery specialist to work alongside CPS and preventive caseworkers; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Social Services wishes to award R 21-07 to Rebecca Skoda, MSW, LCSW, for the period of December 1, 2022 through November 30, 2022. This agreement may be extended, upon mutual agreement, for four (4) additional years on a yearly basis at an amount not to exceed $35,000 a year; and
WHEREAS, the Department has selected to use these funds for purposes of consultant and agrees to provide this; and
WHEREAS, the Department has a need to develop an agreement for these services for the purposes of claiming reimbursement from New York State; and
WHEREAS, the agreement will be at a total cost not to exceed $35,000 during the period from December 1, 2022 through November 30, 2023. This agreement may be extended for one-year term on a yearly basis for as long as funding continues.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Sullivan County Legislature does hereby authorize the County Manager to execute an agreement between the Department of Social Services and Rebecca Skoda, MSW, LCSW, for the provision of services during the period from December 1, ...
