RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE ADOPTION OF THE SULLIVAN COUNTY DOMESTIC TERRORISM PREVENTION PLAN
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Division of Public Safety/Office of Emergency Management has been deemed eligible for funding from the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) to support terrorism prevention and preparedness efforts; and
WHEREAS, the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services is administering the FY2022 Domestic Terrorism Prevention Grant Program (DTP); and
WHEREAS, one of the requirements of the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Grant Program (DTP) is that a comprehensive Domestic Terrorism Plan must be developed and submitted to DHSES by December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the County has drafted the Sullivan County Domestic Terrorism Prevention Plan and has presented same to the Legislature; and
WHEREAS, the plan must be formally adopted by the Legislature;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby formally adopts the Sullivan County Domestic Terrorism Prevention Plan.
