RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A MODIFICATION AGREEMENT WITH NATIONAL MEDICAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 108-21, adopted by the County Legislature on March 18, 2021, National Medical Services Labs (NMS) 3701 Welsh Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090, were awarded a contract for medical-legal death investigation testing services required by the Coroner’s Office being the service that Catskill Regional Medical Center contracts with, providing continuity to the process, and
WHEREAS, in order to continue providing adequate toxicology services to the Coroner’s Office, there is a need to increase the not-to-exceed dollar amount authorized for the period January 1st, 2023 through December 31st, 2023 with three (3) additional, yearly extensions, based upon a projected annual volume of 137 cases per year, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Resolution No. 108-21 is hereby amended to authorize a total not-to-exceed amount of $45,000.00 for the period of January 1st, 2023 through December 31st, 2023, with three (3) additional yearly extensions, based on a projected annual volume of 137 cases per year,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Modification Agreement with National Medical Services Labs to increase the total not-to-exceed amount for the period January 1st, 2023 through December 31st, 2023 with three (3) yearly extensions to $45,000.00, said agreement to be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
