Specify Compliance with Procurement Procedures:
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program administered by the Office of Community Renewal (OCR) accepts applications on a rolling basis for its Microenterprise, Small Business and Economic Development grant programs; and
WHEREAS, Sullivan County is a unit of local government within the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council area eligible to access this funding to support business expansion and job creation; and
WHEREAS, several businesses have approached the County seeking funding under these CDBG programs; and
WHEREAS, the rules and regulations of the above programs requires that each applicant issue a public hearing notice and hold a public hearing allowing for citizen feedback on the community and economic development needs of the community and any/all proposed projects prior to the submission,
NOW, THE_REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature will hold a public hearing on December 15, 2022 at 10:30 AM in the Legislative Hearing Room at the Sullivan County Government Center in Monticello, New York, for the purposes outlined above and will provide appropriate public notice of such hearing in the form of display advertisements.
