RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY ROBERT A. DOHERTY, CHAIRMAN OF THE LEGISLATURE TO INCREASE SEASONAL HOURLY RATES FOR STAFF AT LAKE SUPERIOR
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Department of Parks, Recreation and Beautification (DPRB) operates several facilities to benefit the residents and visitors of Sullivan County (the “County”); and
WHEREAS, Lake Superior State Park and the Sullivan County Museum are two facilities that require adequate staffing to remain open; and
WHEREAS, in order to maintain its commitment to the community, the County wishes to increase compensation to certain positions at Lake Superior State Park in order to retain staff through the end of the Summer 2022 season; and
WHEREAS, a per diem Museum Attendant position is needed in order to keep the Sullivan County Museum open on days when full time staff are unavailable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Sullivan County Legislature authorizes an increase of $5.00/hour for Lifeguard, Assistant Park and Recreation Director/Lifeguard, and Park Manager positions, $3.15/hour for Park Entry Attendant positions, and $3.15/hour for Laborer positions effective August 24, 2022; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Sullivan County Legislature authorizes the creation of a Museum Attendant Per Diem position at a rate of $15.50/hour.
