Re: To enter into an agreement with Astor Services for Children and Families for Children and Youth Mental Health Services for the Sullivan County Department of Community Services.

Purpose of Resolution: To enter into an agreement with Astor Services for Children and Families for children and youth mental health services for the Community Services.

Is subject of Resolution mandated: No, but the county must provide gap services that are not provided in the community.  

There is no expenditure of funds but would be pass through money from the NYS OMH (New York State Office of Mental Health.)

Resolution INTRODUCED BY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES to ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH ASTOR SERVICES FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FOR Children and youth mental health services WITH THE Sullivan County Department of Community Services. 

 

 

WHEREAS, Sullivan County put forth a Request for Proposal for Behavioral Health Services for both mental health and alcohol and substance abuse services (“RFP No. R-21-20”) for the Sullivan County Department of Community Services (“DCS”); and

 

WHEREAS, a proposal was received from Astor Services for Children and Families., with offices at 6339 Mill Street, Rhinebeck, NY 12572 (“Astor”), to provide children and youth mental health services for DCS; and

 

WHEREAS, DCS has approved said proposal and recommends that the County enter into an agreement with Astor for the period from April 1, 2022 through March 31, 2023, which period may be extended on a yearly basis for an additional four (4) years.  

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Astor for the above services in accordance with RFP No. R-21-20, at no cost to the county for each year in which the contract is extended; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the form of said agreement shall be approved by the County Attorney’s Office.
