RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE UTILITY WORK AGREEMENTS FOR THE RELOCATION OF UTILITIES FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF BRIDGE 77 IN THE TOWN OF HIGHLAND.

 

WHEREAS, Resolution 173-22 authorized the County Manager to execute an agreement with NYSDOT that provided for 95% Federal Funding of the project to replace Bridge 77 (Project) located in the Town of Highland; and

 

WHEREAS, the Federal Aid requirements of the project require the execution of Utility Work Agreements with utilities that need to relocate their utilities for the construction of the project; and

 

WHEREAS, the utilities shall be relocated at no cost to the County of Sullivan; and

 

WHEREAS, Utility Work Agreements are needed with New York State Electric & Gas, Frontier Communications and Charter Spectrum utilities.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Legislature approves of the proposed Utility Work Agreements to expedite the replacement of Bridge 77; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Manager of the County of Sullivan be and is hereby authorized to execute Utility Work Agreements with New York State Electric & Gas, Frontier Communications and Charter Spectrum utilities, said agreements to be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
