Specify Compliance with Procurement Procedures:

 

WHEREAS, a new e-recording vendor Hopdox has developed software designed to be more intuitive, user-friendly, and easier to navigate for document submitters; and

WHEREAS, the recording office seeks to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of document recording services for submitters and staff; and

WHEREAS, the vendors software utilizes character recognition technology to identify potential errors prior to or at the time of submission, thereby reducing rejected filings and minimizing delays in recordings; and

WHEREAS, the use of this technology is expected to improve document accuracy, reduce staff review time, and allow for quicker and more efficient recording of documents; and

WHEREAS, entering into an agreement with this vendor is expected to improve customer service while maintaining compliance with applicable recording standards and requirements.

WHEREAS, entering into this agreement and use of the software is at no cost to the County, as it would be the responsibility of the submitters who use this vendor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager is hereby authorized to sign the agreement with Hopdox in a form approved by the County Attorney.
