RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR ASPHALT PLANT & CHIP SEAL TESTING FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE & RIDE QUALITY PROFILING OF THE COUNTY ROAD NETWORK WITH THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE FIRM (ADVANCE TESTING - A SOCOTEC COMPANY) FOR THE QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTING WORK.
WHEREAS, a proposal was received for Asphalt Plant and Chip Seal Testing for Quality Assurance and Ride Quality Profiling of the County Road Network (RFP-26-03), and
WHEREAS, the asphalt pavement and the chip sealing placed in each year's resurfacing program has to be tested to assure the quality, and
WHEREAS, annual ride quality profiling of the entire County road network is required to obtain network-level pavement ride quality data for all County-maintained roadways, thereby establishing a consistent dataset to support pavement condition evaluation, future capital planning, and long-term performance tracking, and
WHEREAS, Advance Testing - A SOCOTEC Company, 3348 Route 208, Campbell Hall, New York 10916, is the responsible proposer for this project, and
WHEREAS, this contract is for a one (1) year period and may be extended, upon mutual agreement, on a yearly basis, for four (4) additional years, and
