RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE AWARD AND EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH TETRA TECH TO UPDATE THE SULLIVAN COUNTY MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN
WHEREAS, Sullivan County (“County”) issued an RFP, R-25-07, seeking proposals from qualified consultants to update the Sullivan County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (“Plan”); and
WHEREAS, Federal regulations at 44 CFR 201.2 (d)(2) require the Plan to be reviewed and updated every five years in order to maintain program eligibility, and the current plan is set to expire on April 27th, 2026.; and
WHEREAS, the Plan profiles Sullivan County communities and existing conditions, evaluates impacts of hazards of concern, assesses capabilities and resources, and develops mitigation strategies and actions; and
WHEREAS, staff in the Sullivan County Division of Planning have reviewed proposals and conducted interviews, and determined that Tetra Tech, is the best qualified firm to provide the services required; and
WHEREAS, this update is being partially funded by an award from FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature authorizes the County Manager to execute an agreement with Tetra Tech to update the Sullivan County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, in such form as the County Attorney shall approve, in an amount not to exceed $149,825.00.
