RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MODIFICATION AGREEMENT TO THE 2026 HIGHWAY JOB ORDER CONTRACT WITH SULLIVAN COUNTY PAVING & CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR ADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR VARIOUS JOB ORDERS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY ROAD NETWORK.

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 137-26, adopted April 23rd, 2026, authorized an agreement with Sullivan County Paving and Construction, Inc. (“Agreement”) to provide construction services; and

WHEREAS, an existing drainage system along County Road No. 102 was identified as failing, compromising roadside drainage and requiring immediate repairs to improve roadway safety prior to the winter months; and

WHEREAS, County Road No. 102 received base course pavement repairs as part of the County’s 2026 resurfacing program, and the roadway section is identified for final overlays as part of the 2027 resurfacing program to complete the improvements and maximize the pavement life resulting from the County’s investment; and

WHEREAS, additional CHIPS funding provided through the 2026–2027 State Budget was utilized to complete resurfacing work, thereby making previously allocated funding available to support these additional construction services; and
