Specify Compliance with Procurement Procedures:
WHEREAS, from time to time, in the course of their official duties, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and the Sullivan County Probation Department are required to seize animals; and
WHEREAS, when animals are seized as part of the County’s legal responsibilities, the County is obligated to make arrangements for providing appropriate and proper care for the animals; and
WHEREAS, Catskill Animal Rescue, Inc responded to RFP 23-32; and
WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a contract with Catskill Animal Rescue for a two-year period commencing January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025, with the option to renew annually for three (3) additional years at an amount not to exceed $60,000 per year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Catskill Animal Rescue for a period of January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025, with the option to renew annually for three (3) additional years at an amount not to exceed $60,000 per year, to provide accommodations for seized animals other than dogs seized by the County as part of the responsibilities of the Sheriff’s Office, Probation Department or otherwise required by law, said agreement to be in a form approved by the County Attorney.
