RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS FOR BEAVER AND BEAVER DAM ABATEMENT AND/OR REMOVAL
WHEREAS, the County has been experiencing issues with beavers at the D&H Canal Linear Park and Lake Superior State Park; and
WHEREAS, the New York Department of Environmental Conservation has an application process for permitting for the abatement and/or removal of nuisance beaver and beaver dams; and
WHEREAS, the County Parks, Recreation and Beautification Department wishes to apply for said Nuisance Beaver Permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the County Manager, Chairperson of the County Legislature, and/or their authorized representative (as required by the source) to execute the application for the permit and any other necessary documents pertaining to beaver abatement and/or removal, in a form approved by the County Attorney.
