RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE RENEWAL OF THE CONTRACT WITH THE TOWN OF COCHECTON TO LEASE TOWN OWNED PROPERTY TO THE COUNTY FOR THE OPERATION OF THE WESTERN SULLIVAN TRANSFER STATION
WHEREAS, the County has been operating a solid waste transfer and recycling station on lands owned by the Town of Cochecton; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to continue to operate a regional solid waste transfer recycling station for a period of three (3) years, January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Town desires to continue to lease Town owned property to the County to operate a regional solid waste transfer and recycling station for three (3) years at the cost of $5,000 annually; and
WHEREAS, the County will provide snow plowing services at the property from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager be authorized to execute a lease renewal for the period January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026 under terms and conditions acceptable to the County Manager, in such form as approved by the County Attorney.
