RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING A RETENTION INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR EMPLOYEES AT THE ADULT CARE CENTER ("ADULT CARE CENTER")
WHEREAS, the County of Sullivan has commenced the process of closing the Sullivan County Adult Care Center (the "Adult Care Center"); and
WHEREAS, the orderly and successful closure of the Adult Care Center will require the continued employment and cooperation of employees throughout the closure process in order to ensure continuity of care, compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, appropriate transition of residents, completion of records and other administrative responsibilities, and the orderly winding down of operations; and
WHEREAS, as the closure progresses, staffing needs will change and the County may require certain employees to remain employed beyond the point at which other employees are no longer needed in order to complete the remaining work associated with the closure; and
WHEREAS, the County recognizes that retaining experienced employees throughout the closure process is in the best interests of the residents, employees, and County and will assist in ensuring that the closure is completed in a safe, orderly, and responsible manner; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to establish a temporary retention incentive for county employees who remain employed and continue to perform the duties necessary to complete the Adult Care Center closure process; and
