RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMIITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF MEDICARE IMPROVEENTS FOR PATIENTS AND PROVIDERS ACT (MIPPA) GRANT FUNDING


WHEREAS, the New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA), pursuant to Program Instruction 25-PI-12, has made funding available for the renewal of the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) Grant Funding and Activities for the period September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2026; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) Grant Funding and Activities is to promote outreach, education, and enrollment assistance for low-income Medicare beneficiaries regarding programs that make health care and prescription drug costs more affordable, and to ensure that local service providers have access to the materials, training, and resources needed to assist Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers; and
