To seek the Sullivan County Legislature to authorize the County Manager or Chairman of the Legislature to execute any and all documents necessary to accept and administer funds awarded through a Congressional member item. Additionally, the funds are being included in a Federal-Aid Project Agreement to be administered by the NYS Department of Transportation. They NYSDOT require execution of a Intermunicipal Agreement with the Town of Fallsburg, which will be responsible for the construction of the project, and Sullivan County will pass the furnds through the Town.

RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PLANNING, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, REAL PROPERTY AND CAPITAL PLANNING AND BUDGETING COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS RELATED TO CONGRESSIONALLY DIRECTED SPENDING FOR THE O&W RAIL TRAIL NEVERSINK CROSSING PROJECT
WHEREAS, Sullivan County (the "County") was awarded funding in the amount of $1.1 million via Congressionally Directed Spending to fund the construction of the Neversink River Crossing project ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the funding is being included in a Federal-Aid Project Agreement between the County and the New York State Department of Transportation ("NYSDOT") who will administer the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fallsburg ("Town") will be responsible for the construction of the Project; and
WHEREAS, an intermunicipal agreement must be executed between the County and the Town to formalize and delineate the obligations of each party for administration of the Federal-Aid Project Agreement; and
