RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY NICHOLAS A. SALOMONE, JR. MINORITY LEADER AND DISTRICT 4 LEGISLATOR TO ENTER INTO MODIFICATION AGREEMENT FOR THE CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT OF JOSHUA POTOSEK AS THE SULLIVAN COUNTY MANAGER
WHEREAS, The Sullivan County Manager Joshua Potosek’s current contract is set to expire on December 31, 2024, and
WHEREAS, the current Legislature has determined to continue Mr. Potosek’s employment and is desirous to modify his current agreement, and
WHEREAS, the following terms have been agreed upon effective July 1, 2024:
Amend Section (I.A) Term: Agreement shall commence on July 1, 2024 through
Amend Section (I.A.1) December 31, 2028
Amend Section (IV.A.2) Change four (4) weeks of annual vacation to five (5) weeks of annual vacation
Amend Section (IV.B.2) The County shall budget and pay for professional dues and subscriptions to and for travel and attendance for conferences and meetings such as ICMA, and NYSAC. Strike the bulleted items.
Add a new Section (IV.C) CM will be provided with a take home vehicle
Amend Section (V.A) $195,000 salary July 1, 2024 through 12/31/2025.
• 1/1/26 - 1.5% salary increase
• 1/1/27 - 1.5% salary increase
• 1/1/28 - 1.5% salary increase
Delete Section (V.B) This is section is no longer relevant with changes to Section (V.A)
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager’s employment contract is hereby modified in accordance with the above terms and shall be approved as to form by the Sullivan County Attorney’s Office.
