.RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR EMERGENCY SPILL RESPONSE AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES WITH AMERICAN PETROLEUM EQUIPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION, INC.

 

                     WHEREAS, within the function of their day to day operations the Sullivan County Division of Public Works occasionally encounter situations which require emergency spill response and environmental services; and

 

WHEREAS, several proposals were received in response to solicitation R-23-34; and

 

WHEREAS, the Division of Public Works reviewed the proposals, focusing primarily on prior experience with a similar scope and proposed emergency response time; and

 

WHEREAS, American Petroleum Equipment and Construction, Inc., 63 Orange Ave., Walden, NY 12586 is the most qualified and affordable vendor; and

 

WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Division of Public Works has approved said solicitation response and recommends that an agreement be executed.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute an agreement with American Petroleum Equipment and Construction, Inc., as per the fee schedule as provided in the response to R-23-34, for one (1) year, with additional extensions on a one (1) year basis for four (4) additional years, under the same terms and conditions, said contract to be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
