RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MISERICORDIA UNIVERSITY

WHEREAS, the Misericordia University offers a curricula in the College of Health Sciences and Education (“CHSE”) and wishes to assign students to Infinite Care: Care Center at Sunset Lake for the development and implementation of clinical education experiences for the CHSE students; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Sullivan County Division of Health and Human Services wishes to enter into an agreement with the Misericordia University to permit qualified students to participate in said educational program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Misericordia University, at no cost to the County, effective April 3, 2023; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said agreement shall continue in full force and effect for a period of one year, and will be automatically renewed annually unless otherwise indicated in writing by one of the parties no less than ninety (90) days prior to the commencement of the renewal term; provided, however, that any such non-renewal shall not affect student placements for the clinical rotation during which such notice is given and, therefore, notwithstanding any non-renewal, the terms of this Agreement shall continue to govern such placements until completion of the clinical rotation during which notice of non-renewal is given; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said form of said agreement shall be approved by the Sullivan County Attorney’s Office.
