Specify Compliance with Procurement Procedures: N/A eRESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH EMCOR SERVICES BETLEM TO PROVIDE PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ON HVAC EQUIPMENT IN FOUR COUNTY BUILDINGS.

WHEREAS, the County has completed two energy efficiency projects involving replacement and upgrade of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and controls in the Government Center, Government Center Annex, Courthouse, and Gladys Olmsted Building through the New York Power Authority; and

WHEREAS, these mechanical and controls systems are technically specialized and demand maintenance and servicing which is required to be satisfactory to the product manufacturers; and

WHEREAS, EMCOR Services Betlem, 6057 Corporate Drive, East Syracuse, NY 13057
was the subcontractor during these projects and installed these various systems, has intimate knowledge of the equipment, its functions, and locations, and has been performing the preventative maintenance and servicing for the past three years; and

WHEREAS, Sullivan County Division of Public Works has requested a proposal from EMCOR Services Betlem to extend these services for an additional three (3) years, commencing January 1, 2024, to satisfy the minimum requirements specific to each of the buildings noted above, and recommends entering into said agreement; and
