911 Center Report
1. With summer coming to an end, 911 call volume is returning to a more management pace.
2. We have been assisting Commissioner Fridlich with some communications testing and alternative communications methods, all very progressive.
3. We have had several serious calls this summer including MVA’s, floods, cardiac arrest saves, water rescues and I commend the team at 911 for their professionalism and dedication to what they do. Many have no idea of the stress level and having only your words and your voice to help others.
4. Work continues on the Jeffersonville tower construction. We are trying to get some of the public facing work around the school done before school starts next week.
Sullivan County EMS
1. Our fly-cars have been going constantly this summer. I will have a more formal EMS report once the summer statistics are compiled. There is not doubt our EMS system together with our partner agencies are making a difference. As an example they have had (3) cardiac arrest saves in the past 3 weeks.
2. We have made some good progress on implementing the revue recovery system, we are working on getting ALS agreements in place with the EMS agencies in the County.
3. Our EMS certificate of need application is being processed by DOH and we anticipate conclusion this month.
