RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO COMPLETE THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY REQUIRED FOR THE RE-ALIGNMENT OF GREY RD. AND REPLACEMENT OF COUNTY BRIDGE 293

WHEREAS, the Division of Public Works replaced County Bridge 293 which carries Grey Rd. (Town Highway 39) over the Neversink River in 2010 as part of PIN 9752.59; and

WHEREAS, the Division of Public Works along with their consulting engineer at the time, determined that purchase agreements needed to be executed for the acquisition of real property and fee ownership of portions of two parcels throughout the project length where this proposed highway improvement was constructed and to be maintained into the future; and

WHEREAS, in or about January, 2009 the required portion of the parcels were surveyed, maps and descriptions prepared, appraisals performed and negotiations completed with the affected property owners to determine the value of the property to be acquired; and

WHEREAS, in or about January, 2009 the monetary consideration for each parcel was agreed upon and purchase agreements signed by the property owners for the County to purchase the two parcels as described on the attached Map No. CB293-1 and Map No. CB 293-2; and

WHEREAS, new deeds were never recorded with the County Clerk completing the purchase of said parcels; and
