This department is required to provide psychiatric services under the Mental Hygiene Laws and contracting with this provider would provide some of the forensic services.
WHEREAS, the Department of Community Services would like to enter into an agreement with Vega Abel Lalire, PhD. for providing Psychiatric Services, including, but not limited to 730 evaluations, 2 Psych. Consults (508), or emergency evaluations; and
WHEREAS, Vega Abel Lalire, PhD., 195 Baer Road, Forestburgh, New York 12777 is the most responsible vendor for such work; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Community Services has reviewed the proposal and recommends award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the County Manager be and herby is authorized to execute a contract with Vega Abel Lalire, PhD., in an amount of $210, per hour, not to exceed $120,000, per year, in accordance with RFP#: R-23-01, from February 1, 2023 through January 31, 2024, with four (4) additional yearly extensions, said contract to be such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
