TWHEREAS, the Sullivan County Legislature adopted a Legislative Discretionary Contract Funding Program pursuant to Resolution No. 327-16; and
WHEREAS, the program is designed to assist Sullivan County and County-oriented entities with achieving such goals as public safety, public health, youth services, community development, and economic development; and
WHEREAS, the County of Sullivan has been provided $55,000 from the State of New York through Assemblywoman Gunther to fund the Sullivan County Federation (“Federation”) for the Homeless to assist with capital improvements to their respective building; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to fund the Federation for the Homeless $55,000 for the purposes of capital improvements through the 2023 Legislative Discretionary Funding program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature authorizes the County Manager to enter into a contract with the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless in the amount of $55,000 for capital improvements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funding be provided to the Federation for the Homeless in the amount of $55,000 in advance; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the County in return will be provided with copies of the receipts in the amount of $55,000 for the capital improvements upon completion.
