RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR THE DEMOLITION OF TWO EXTERIOR & ONE INTERIOR STEEL TANKS
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Department of Solid Waste’s Pretreatment Plant has three steel tanks that were built more than 25 years ago and are no longer required in the treatment of leachate and are not currently in use; and
WHEREAS, the two exterior tanks are approximately 24 feet high with a diameter of 45 feet and the interior tank is approximately 37 feet x 13 feet by 8.5 feet; and
WHEREAS, bids were received to take down and remove said tanks in response to solicitation B-23-39 and reviewed by Division of Public Works staff; and
WHEREAS, Highground Industrial, LLC., 12 Industrial Drive, Florida, NY 10921 is the most qualified and affordable vendor; and
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Division of Public Works has approved said proposal and recommends that an agreement be executed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute an agreement with Highground Industrial, LLC., 12 Industrial Drive, Florida, NY 10921, at a total price not to exceed $46,200 and in accordance with B-23-39, said contract to be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
