RESOLUTION NO. INTRODUCED BY BRIAN MCPHILLIPS, CHAIRMAN OF THE MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET COMMITTEE TO REASSESS WATER RENTS FOR THE TOWN OF LIBERTY.
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Liberty has certified to the Sullivan County Legislature a list of unpaid water rents for the White Sulphur Springs Water District; the Stevensville Water District; the Ferndale Water District; the Loomis Water District; the Cold Spring Water District; Indian Lake Water District and the Route 55 Water District, and has requested the levy thereof on the 2024 tax roll of the Town of Liberty.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the Town Law, the unpaid water rents of the White Sulphur Springs Water District; the Stevensville Water District; the Ferndale Water District; the Loomis Water District; the Cold Spring Water District, Indian Lake Water District and the Route 55 Water District, for the sum total amount of $191,972.79 be and the same are hereby levied and assessed against the properties set forth in the aforementioned certified list, on the 2025 tax roll of the Town of Liberty, the same when collected to be paid to the Supervisor of said Town, to be paid by him to those entitled thereto.
