RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY PLANNING AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO EXECUTE LICENSE AGREEMENTS WITH THE SULLIVAN COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND THE FREDERICK A. COOK SOCIETY IN REGARD TO THEIR OCCUPANCY OF THE SULLIVAN COUNTY CULTURAL

 

WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Historical Society, Inc., and the Frederick A. Cook Society (“Licensees”) each occupy a portion of the Sullivan County Cultural Center; and

 

WHEREAS, in the past the County and the Licensees worked together and developed a draft License Agreement detailing duties, obligations and covenants of the County and the Licensees; and

 

WHEREAS, said document transferred a portion of the financial burden of the associated operation and maintenance expenses from the County to the Licensees; and

 

WHEREAS, the Licensees and the County both recognize updating and executing said agreement is mutually beneficial.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the County Manager is authorized to execute the above referenced agreements with the Licensees in such a form as approved by the County Attorney’s Office.
