RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PREPARATION OF A GRANT APPLICATION UNDER THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY & EMERGENCY SERVICES - OFFICE OF INTEROPERABLE AND EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS 2025 NEXT GENERATION 911 (NG911) GRANT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services provides funding to support efforts aimed at Next Generation 911 (NG911) technologies; and
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Division of Public Safety - Sullivan County 911 seeks to improve local readiness of NG911 implementation and to support the technology needed for success of the program; and
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Division of Public Safety wishes to file an application for the 2025 NG911 Grant Program to support these efforts; and
WHEREAS, Sullivan County is not required to provide any local cash or in-kind match in support of the NG911 Grant Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Division of Public Safety - Sullivan County 911 is hereby authorized to prepare and file an application for funding under the NYS DHSES-OIEC 2025 NG911 Grant Program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Manager be and is hereby authorized to sign said NG911 grant program application on behalf of the County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that if awarded NG911 program funding, that the County Manager be and is hereby authorized to execute any and all necessary documents to accept the NG911 program grant award and access the funding, in such form as the County Attorney shall approve; and
