BOE Update
v We have been busy since certifying the Primary Election, with reports for the State Board of Elections and preparations for the General Election.
v We held three Inspector training sessions in July, and we have another two sessions scheduled for August (advanced registration with the BOE is required to attend). We need Election Inspectors for the General Election! Please contact the Board of Elections at (845)807-0400 for information.
Important Dates, Deadlines & Information:
v The General Election is Tuesday, November 3rd. Poll Sites will be open from 6am until 9pm in Sullivan County.
v Saturday, October 24th our office will be open from 9am until 5pm, as this is the last day for the Board of Elections to receive a Voter Registration by mail or in person for the General Election. This is also the last day for the BOE to receive an Absentee/Early Vote by Mail application by mail or portal.
Ø Any Voter may request a postage paid Early Vote by Mail Ballot (no reason required), by paper application or via the online portal: elections.ny.gov/request-ballot <https://elections.ny.gov/request-ballot>
v October 19th is the last day for the BOE to receive a change of address from a Voter.
v Early Voting for the General Election runs from Saturday, October 24th until Sunday, November 1st at the Sullivan County Government Center in Monticello and Public Health in Liberty. As always, there is no Early Voting the day before the election (Monday, November 2nd).
v Our Summer hours are 8:00AM until 4:00PM, Monday through Friday until September 4th (excluding mandatory filing dates, when our hours will be until 5pm).
