RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET COMMITTEE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FROM THE CONSTRUCTION BUILDING REPAIR ASSIGNED FUND BALANCE AND TO TRANSFER THOSE FUNDS TO THE SULLIVAN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE CAPITAL ACCOUNT FOR THE SULLIVAN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE CAPITAL PROJECT REPAIRING THE PAUL GERRY FIELD HOUSE

 

WHEREAS, resolution 469 of 2025 was enacted by the Sullivan County Legislature authorizing the Sullivan County Community College (“SCCC”) to request funds from State University of New York (“SUNY”) for a capital project involving various repairs to the Paul Gerry Field House in the amount of $2,679,958; and

 

WHEREAS, the current New York State Budget authorizes this project and includes the required fifty percent New York State match; and

 

WHEREAS, in order to commence the project SUNY requires that the County provide evidence that the fifty percent local match has been formally appropriated.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Sullivan County Legislature hereby appropriates $1,339,979 from the Construction Building Repair Assigned Fund Balance and authorizes these funds to be transferred to the Community College Capital Account.
