Good morning. I’m concerned about the only resolution on the agenda of this committee which is to reclassify one activities aide position from the ACC to be split into basically three part time activity aide positions, none of which would receive any benefits. The resolution doesn’t detail who dreamed this up and brought it onto the agenda, but it looks to me like yet another attempt by the ACC’s consultant to sidestep civil service requirements as well as our contractual obligations. The ACC is not privately owned, and the resolution appears like the brainchild of somebody who really doesn’t understand the difference between a public and a private entity. It also seems like a pretty nasty and irresponsible way to treat county employees, although I’m sure that there are people here who sincerely believe that Gen Z’s don’t want positions with benefits such as health insurance. I hope you will leave this position alone, and that some local people loving person will fill it soon, to bring a little sunshine into the lives of the 114 residents of the ACC.
