To Amend Resolution No. 511-22 Authorizing MOU with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department to provide meals for seniors for Office for the Aging from January 1, 2023-December 31, 2023 by increasing the rate of $5.00 per meal to $6.00 per meal and extend MOU for an additional year.
WHEREAS, Legislative Resolution No. 511-22 authorized an MOU between Sullivan County Office for the Aging and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department for provision of meals for seniors at a cost of $5.00 per meal, and
WHEREAS, the amount authorized per meal should have been $6.00 per meal, and
WHEREAS, this agreed amount per meal should be retroactive back to the beginning date of the MOU of January 1, 2023, and
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Sheriff and Sullivan County OFA agree to extend the MOU with the same terms and conditions for an additional year terminating on December 31, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby amends Resolution No. 511-22 to reflect the agreed cost per meal from $5.00 per meal to $6.00 per meal, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon mutual agreement between the Sheriff and Office for the Aging the MOU will be extended to December 31, 2024, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The County Manager is hereby authorized to execute a modification agreement setting the rate at $6.00 per meal and extending the MOU until December 31, 2024.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the form of said modification agreement be approved by the County Attorney’s Office.
