RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE MANAGEMENT & BUDGET COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH DIGICERT, INC. FOR DIGITAL CERTIFICATE AND TRUST LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the County of Sullivan, through its Division of Information Technology Services (ITS), is responsible for managing and securing County technology infrastructure, systems, and digital services; and
WHEREAS, digital certificates are utilized throughout the County's technology environment to establish trusted and encrypted communications and to authenticate systems and services, requiring appropriate management throughout their lifecycle; and
WHEREAS, centralized certificate lifecycle management provides ITS with the ability to inventory, issue, monitor, renew, and manage digital certificates and associated endpoints, reducing the operational and security risks associated with expired, unmanaged, or improperly maintained certificates; and
WHEREAS, DigiCert, Inc. has proposed a solution consisting of its CertCentral Subscription, DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager - Premium, Business Support, and associated professional enablement services to provide centralized digital certificate and trust lifecycle management capabilities for the County; and
WHEREAS, DigiCert, Inc. has provided Subscription Quote and Order Form Q-00108556 for said services for a one-year term commencing November 3, 2026 and ending November 2, 2027, at a total cost not to exceed $15,065.42.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Legislature of the County of Sullivan hereby authorizes the County Manager to execute Subscription Quote and Order Form Q-00108556 with DigiCert, Inc., and such other documents as may be necessary to effectuate the purposes of this Resolution, for the period November 3, 2026 through November 2, 2027, at a total cost not to exceed $15,065.42; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said order form and associated documents to be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
