WHEREAS, Resolution 208-22 authorized the County to enter into an Agreement with Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. to provide engineering design services for the County Bridge 82 (County Route 49 over Neversink River) Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 409-23 authorized an amendment to the Agreement in an amount “not to exceed $64,000.00” for engineering services with Greenman-Pendersen, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, this Amended Resolution is intended to clarify the intent of the prior resolution 409-23 for Auditing purposes; and
WHEREAS, the original contract entered into on or about July 28, 2022 provided for a maximum amount payable of $150,000.00
WHEREAS, the NYSDOT and NYSDEC have added the mussel survey requirement prior to authorizing final design; and
WHEREAS, additional engineering services are required to prepare plans, permit documents and perform field investigations for a mussel survey for areas to be disturbed by the bridge replacement; and
WHEREAS, said additional engineering services for the mussel survey are estimated in an amount not to exceed $64,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Public Works recommends that a modification agreement be given to Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. for the additional work needed to fulfill the mussel survey and mussel relocation requirements of the NYSDEC and US Fish and Wildlife Service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Resolution 409-23 is hereby amended to add $64,000.00 to the original Agreement cost of $150,000.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Modification Agreement for engineering services with Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. for additional engineering services at a cost not to exceed $64,000.00 for the mussel study, thereby increasing the contract maximum amount payable to $214,000.00, and said Agreement Modification shall be in such form as the County Attorney shall approve.
