RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE TO ACCEPT AND AUTHORIZE AN AWARD WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR FOR THE RR PROGRAM INCENTIVE GRANT
WHEREAS, the Center for Workforce Development (CWD) is being awarded funds through the Governor of New York through the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL); and
WHEREAS, CWD is being awarded funds through NYSDOL under the Workforce Innovations Opportunities Act (WIOA) for meeting the requirements under Program Guidance Letter #24-01.1 for State-Level Training and Supportive Services Funding Grant (RR Program Incentive); and
WHEREAS, CWD would like to accept this award in the amount of $50,333.33 to be utilized following all guidelines mandatory under WIOA for funds approved for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, NYSDOL is the pass-through entity of WIOA funds to the local area, and the Chairman of the Sullivan County Legislature is required to execute the Subrecipient Agreement Attestation for all fiscal and operational aspects of the grant; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the Chairman of the Legislature to execute any and all necessary documents to accept the award in the amount of $50,333.33 for services that will be provided by the staff of CWD for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026, in such form as the County Attorney shall approve; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that should the funding be terminated, the County shall not be obligated to continue any action undertaken by the use of this funding.
