RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO SIGN A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR REHABILITATION OF GENERAL AVIATION (GA) APRON PROJECT NO. 3-36-0060-XXX-2025 WITH SULLIVAN COUNTY PAVING & CONSTRUCTION INC.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. _117-25___ authorized the County Manager to accept AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT Grant to rehabilitate the parallel taxiway at the Sullivan County International Airport and
WHEREAS, This grant in the amount of $1,298,100.00 would be 90% Funded by the FAA ($1,168,290) with 5% State ($64,905) and 5% local ($64,905) funding and
WHEREAS, bid B-25-15 was issued for this project and bids were received, and
WHEREAS, Sullivan County Paving Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder for this project, and
WHEREAS, the Sullivan County Division of Public Works has reviewed said bid and recommends that an agreement be executed, and
WHEREAS, the FAA has approved Sullivan County Paving and Construction Inc. for construction services in the amount of $1,298,100.00 as part of the grant, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature authorizes the County Manager sign the necessary agreements, contracts and documentation, in such form as the County Attorney shall approve, to retain the services of Sullivan County Paving & Construction Inc. for a contract amount not to exceed $1,298,100.00 for Construction services upon receipt of said grant; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution be attached to any necessary agreements in connection with this project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect immediately.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that should grant funding be terminated, the County shall not be obligated to continue any action undertaken by the use of this funding.
