RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO ABOLISH, RECLASSIFY, AND CREATE POSITIONS IN THE DIVISION OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Division of Management and Budget has experienced a reduction in staffing due to the resignation of key personnel; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Management and Budget has worked with the Commissioner of Human Resources and the County Manager’s Office to identify a solution to address this shortage; and
WHEREAS, the proposed change includes a reclassification of position 3157 Senior Budget Analyst, Grade 6 on the Management Salary Schedule, to a Principal Budget Analyst, Grade 8 on the Management Salary Schedule, in order to recognize additional duties that current staff will be taking on and will further efforts in succession planning; and
WHEREAS, the proposed change to abolish the Director of Management and Budget, Grade 7 on the Management Salary Schedule and create a Director of Health Finance, Grade 8 on the Management Salary Schedule, is necessary to align the position title and the job description with the current and future needs of the organization; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sullivan County Legislature hereby authorizes the abolishment and creation of the following positions:
Reclassify
Position 3461 Senior Budget Analyst to a Principal Budget Analyst
Abolish
Position 3157 Principal Payroll Clerk
Position 3297 Director of Management and Budget
Create
Director of Health Finance
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the salaries will be set in accordance with the Management/Confidential Salary Schedule; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, all of the created positions above have authority to be filled immediately.
